Hero Arts Antique Rose

I recently saw (and saved!) a gorgeous card on Instagram made by @strangelycreative (Ericka Strange) using this stamp and was inspired to pull mine out to play!  For starters, I heat-embossed the image in gold onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock, then using my Zig markers, began to color!  For the background, I chose my darkest shade of blue and section by section, drew a heavy line against the rose, then moved the ink with lots of water! For the roses,  I used dark red and a dark pink mostly, adding two shades of yellow to the centers.  Again, moving the ink with the water brush.

When the panel was dry, I spattered drops of water all over which leaves an interesting speckled appearance!  The “hello” sentiment is a sticker from Heidi Swapp!

I trimmed the panel down enough to add a layer of gold paper beneath, then mounted it to a white card base.  The last touch was to squeeze out a bit of gold Nuvo Drops onto my craft mat, add some water and spatter heavy droplets of the mixture over the entire panel.  Thanks for the inspiration, Ericka!!  🙂
