Welcome back, friends! Today I’m sharing a couple projects which I made by printing images I found on Pinterest. I love to create cards using my broad selection of rubber stamps but sometimes I just want to color without all the stamping and masking required to set up a scene. So I hop onto Pinterest and go straight to my Printables board where I’ve saved a variety of images to choose from! I’ve been on a floral kick lately (uh, when am I NOT on a floral kick?!) and found some gorgeous images like this one! I decided to actually expand this into an 8×10 size and it pretty much filled up a whole sheet of cardstock!
Let the coloring fun begin! I used my Copics for this and started with the background, filling in and around the leaves and blossoms with BG78 Bronze then softened that with Ice Ocean BG72. I later went in and added shades of lavender, pink and yellow but don’t ask me which specific colors I used! I kinda lost track! 🙂 I did make a video (a very LONG video!) of this and mentioned most of the colors as I used them. I tend to use many, many colors and add layers and layers in my Copics coloring! (My husband just informed me that my video is WAY too big to include here, so if you’d like to see it, please let me know via the comments and I can send it to you via email.)
My largest blossoms were colored with various shades of orange, pinks, a little yellow, etc. Again, I apologize for not taking note of the exact colors. The small flowers were done with R39 Garnet and R89 Dark Red then a little YR21 Cream and Y11 Pale Yellow. E49 Dark Brown for the centers and then E35 Chamois.
My leaves are also a combination of many colors including E33 Sand, YR65 Atoll, YG03 Yellow Green, YG95 Pale Olive and who knows what else!
I tapped on a few dots here and there for additional “texture” and shading.
Here it is, all framed and hung for a photograph! Next time I’ll make the image a little smaller so that all the color and design fits inside the mat. But I’m pretty tickled about this and can’t wait to make more framed art! This will be posted for sale soon! Thanks again for visiting!
